Lawson, co-founders of the nonprofit Comedy Gives Back — the real safety net for stand-up comics who need a hand. Next week they’re hosting the annual 818 Benefit: Brody Stevens Festival of Friendship Show at The Comedy Store in West Hollywood, raising money for comedians in crisis. Zoe’s dad was the legendary Budd Friedman, founder of The Improv (now 23 locations strong), the man who discovered Adam Sandler and managed Jay Leno.
