Gideon's story in Judges 7 is no mere underdog tale. A fearful man, he’s transformed by God’s presence as his army shrinks from 32,000 to 300, showing: Weakness fosters reliance on God’s power (2 Corinthians 12:9). Salvation comes through humble obedience, not might, pointing to Christ. God patiently reassures doubt. Faith requires risky steps. Weakness becomes strength through God. Courage comes from Christ’s presence. Gideon’s later pride warns against self-reliance. We daily depend on Jesus, who overcame sin and death.
