Broken Spirit: 16 Days Of Activism Against GBVF  “The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit.” Psalms 34:18 NKJV Introduction We are living in a broken world 🌍  Everywhere we turn there is bad news report of people suffering and dying from murder, sickness, hunger, wars, depression and suicide Gender based violence; femicide and human trafficking stats are shocking in our country The poor are further suppressed so that they can depend more and more on the government and the rich people What’s shocking is that people turns a blind eye on such issues The church should stand up, lead and take the initiative to execute the plan of God which is to save lives Our world is broken because members of the family are broken We can’t keep silent 🤫 about such things Jesus’ Mission Statement  ““The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”” Luke 4:18-19 NKJV These words were uttered after the 40 days fast of Jesus Jesus was almost killed even before he started his mission because of this mission statement It’s about time that the church live in these words that Jesus speak in this scripture Don’t take advantage of the poor and do your best to keep them poor Empower less fortunate people so that they can be able to be independent and also help others (DX) In the past male children were empowered more than female children Good news to the poor Heal broken hearts Liberty to the captives Sight to the blind Liberty to the oppressed Proclaim acceptable year of the Lord Unfair Society John 8:2-11 NKJV In our society, a sexual immoral is a player (isoka) and that has a positive connotation.  A woman who is immoral is called names I can’t say on the pulpit No one can commit adultery alone Jesus was in the temple preaching and people walks in with stones to kill The house of the Lord is not built for killing people When people walk in the house of the Lord they must find abundant life, not stones Imagine I’m the audacity to interrupt Jesus Christ’s sermon to kill a person GBV + F is unfair… it doesn’t matter what you can say to justify it Strong man use their muscles to protect women and children If you are strong and you want to fight pick someone your own size in the UFC_WWE Cowards man fight women… Better check yourself if you are in a right standing with God before pointing fingers to others Your shortcomings will keep you busy your whole life, believe me People who judges others are lazy to work on themselves Jesus shows grace to the woman who is undeserving Conclusion  Isaiah 42:3-9 NKJV When people see you down they find the way to dig you and finish with you When you are broken they break you into multiple pieces Jesus will mend your broken pieces He gives life to the dead He brings hope to the hopeless Our world needs Jesus Christ Amen 🙏🏾
