Broncos Blueprint: Solidifying the Line for 2026

The Denver Broncos have prioritized bolstering their offense by trading significant draft capital to acquire star wide receiver Jaylen Waddle. While this move secures a primary target for quarterback Bo Nix, it leaves the roster with fewer early-round picks to address a aging defensive unit. The team's most pressing concern is now the interior defensive line, especially following the departure of productive veteran John Franklin-Myers to free agency. To compensate for this loss, the front office is expected to target a defensive tackle in the second round or pursue experienced veterans. Despite these personnel shifts, the organization remains focused on maintaining a championship-caliber roster after a highly successful previous season. This strategic blueprint aims to balance immediate offensive upgrades with the long-term necessity of replenishing the defensive front.
