Broncos Defense Collapses vs Chiefs | Denver Broncos News

The Denver Broncos’ season opener was a disaster, losing 31-10 to the Chiefs as their defense collapsed—missing 28 tackles and surrendering 247 yards after those missed stops, the worst in at least five years. Kenneth Walker III exploited the breakdowns, rushing for over 100 yards more than expected and forcing 14 missed tackles, setting a franchise record. With the defense failing to get off the field, the offense struggled to score in the second half. Coach Sean Payton emphasized mental preparation ahead of their next game against Jacksonville, as the team urgently needs to fix its tackling and return to elite defensive play.
