Brown Back? Louisville Eyes SMU Statement | Louisville Football News

Louisville explodes for 59 points in a dominant win over Villanova, setting the stage for a huge showdown against 16th-ranked SMU this Saturday—where they’ll aim to break their two-game losing streak against the Mustangs since joining the ACC. The Cardinals got a major boost with running back Keyjuan Brown, who exited early against Villanova but is expected back for the SMU game, as coach Scott Brohm remains optimistic. Brown’s physical style and ability to carry the load when healthy—he averaged over seven yards per carry last season—could be the key to unlocking Louisville’s ground game against a tough SMU defense. With the Cardinals averaging nearly 49 points per game, this could be their biggest statement game yet, especially if Brown returns to form. Kickoff is set for 3:30 PM ET on ESPN2.
