Call 203.622.8737.Welcome to the 16th of April, 2024 show.On Greenwich in the Gilded Age, we'll journey back in time and visit the Bruce Cottages, made possible by Victorian Summer: The Historic Houses of Belle Haven Park, Greenwich, Connecticut by Matt Bernard.  On Greenwich Life As It Is -And Was, Lucien Edwards wrote about the King Street Baptist Church in Glenville.  Greenwich's Police Department was founded in 1906. History is replete with wrongdoings and misdeeds  on Crimes and Misdemeanors. "Old Hardy" was the last living Native American in Greenwich. In July, 1924, a letter writer to the Greenwich News & Graphic reminisced about his life before he died in the 1850s. "Belle Haven is Awake," proclaimed the Greenwich Graphic in April, 1905. "The early season has had is effect on Belle Haven, and that beautiful summer resort is being prepared for a prosperous and busy season." April 6, 1914 was not a good day for Maurice Wertheim -banker, art collector, owner of Wyndygoul in Cos Cob -and father of author/historian Barbara Tuchman.
