Brunson Writes Villanova History

Jalen Brunson is rewriting Villanova basketball history as he leads the Knicks to a two-game NBA Finals advantage, poised to become the first Wildcat Finals MVP — a milestone no former Villanova player has ever achieved. At just 29, Brunson is outshining teammates and rewriting expectations, even catching his former coach Jay Wright off guard. With Madison Square Garden roaring behind him and fellow Wildcats Josh Hart and Mikal Bridges helping carry the charge, Brunson isn’t just chasing a trophy — he’s proving Villanova guards can dominate the NBA’s biggest stage when it matters most.
