Bryant Leads Defense Into Season | Syracuse Orangemen Football News

Syracuse’s defense is firing on all cylinders as camp winds down, led by veteran linebacker Gary Bryant III and rising stars like Antoine Deslauriers and Chris D’Appolonia. Bryant, a two-time All-American from South Dakota, brings championship grit and 167 career tackles to the Orange, tying for the team lead last season with 60 stops. Despite brutal training camp, he’s laser-focused on mental and physical prep—treating every week like game week. With their season opener against New Hampshire just days away, Syracuse aims to rebound from a disappointing 3-win campaign marred by QB injuries. Picked near the bottom of the ACC, they need six wins to reach a bowl—their last appearance was the 2024 Holiday Bowl.
