About Today’s GuestLornett Vestal was born and raised in Chicago, IL. He joined the United States Navy at the age of seventeen. He served four years honorably and was deployed during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003. He’s traveled to various countries including Ecuador, Mexico, Brazil, Estonia. He has a BA in Sociology from Northern Illinois University and a Master’s Degree in Social Service Administration from the University of Chicago. He spent several years working in education and social work at Chicago Public Schools and non-profit organizations through the City of Chicago.Lornett is currently the Lead Campaign Representative, Sierra Club Military Outdoors. In that role, he works with Sierra Club staff, volunteers, and outside community and nonprofit organizations to build the Military Outdoors program in Georgia and throughout the United States.
