BTN #33 - Gerry Schramm - Something For Nothing
from Better Than Not Hosted by Doug Gardham
My guest for this episode of Better Than Not is Gerry Schramm, co-creator and co-podcaster of Something For Nothing - A Rush podcast. If you've listened to a few of the BTN podcasts or read some of my A Changing Frame of Reference series on Substack, you'll know of my fondness for Rush (the band). I discovered the Something For Nothing podcast and immediately was impressed with their discussions on Rush. I decided to do this tribute episode to the band and reached out to Gerry to be a guest. He graciously agreed to come on and discuss a band that has shifted both of our perspectives on what music can be and what a band can stand for. Do tune in to their Something For Nothing podcast too. (Credit for the first time intro music goes to music maestro Jeff Boetto. Thank you.)
