One of the things I really liked doing when I was a child was taking a bath. We had a very old bathroom, it was a very small one, and it was the only one we had in the house. So the deal was that if I was going to use the bathtub, I had to inform the family first. Because I never stayed like 15 minutes, half an hour in the bathtub.

No, I stayed like one hour, two hours, maybe even three hours. I could spend all evening there. I used to bring my favorite book, or just a new book, and I just lay there, and I read, and I read, and I read. Also, I brought ice cream, some cool drink.

I treated it basically as a spa, to my father's big frustration, because I could just stay there for hours. And he just knocked the door like, are you still alive? Yeah, I'm alive, I'm just reading, I just need to finish this page. I need to finish one more page.

He was like, okay, I'll give you 15 minutes, and he came back like, knock the door. Are you finished? Are you still breathing? I'm still breathing, I just need to finish this chapter, please.

He's like, yeah, but dinner is waiting, we are going to eat now, and you need to come. I'm like, okay, I will came. And I finally got out, and I would just finish a book, like, 300 pages, 400 pages, I'm a fast reader. But I would just finish it in the bathtub.

And both of ice cream was my perfect combination. I never drowned a book, I never dropped anything in the bathtub. And finally, so strangely, it's funny that the water always stayed warm. I know other people, they struggle with this, the temperature of the water, it cools down after a while.

I don't know if I have some kind of central heating system in my body, but it didn't get cold. I didn't have to refill it with hot water along the way. I didn't have to do anything, and of course I used a lot of soap, so I had so much bubbles, and the smell in the bathroom was fabulous. So finally, when I got out of the bathroom, and I opened the door, my mother, until this day, she says she still remembers the whole second floor of the house, it's not like a spa.

Because the house I grew up in is not that big, and the second floor is like three bedrooms and one bathroom. And literally, it was like a blanket of delicious smells when you came up the stairs to the second floor. And it stayed like that the rest of the evening after I took a bath. But I just loved it, and it was just one of my favorite things to do.

It was so calming, it was so stress relieving. Of course, I took a shower after I took a bath. I know people have a big thing about this, they don't feel clean after taking a bath. I'm one of those people, and I don't take baths, I don't take baths to get clean, I take them to relax.

And I haven't had a bath in, yeah, probably in 15 to 20 years. Because wherever I have been living, there has not been a bathtub. And in my parents' house, well, they took off the bathtub. So, yeah, I'm without the bathtub, and until this day, I still miss it.

I really relax in bath, in a water in general. Like, even if I go abroad and I bathe and see, it's one of the most relaxing things. Just laying on my back and keeping my ears under the water, under the water. And I'll just listen to the waves or the crashing of the waves to the shore, or the animals under me.

I really love it, it's kind of soothing or therapeutic or something like this. It's really weird. I don't like pools, I never have. And my skin also reacts to chlorine, so it doesn't help the situation.

Sometimes I do take a bath in pools if I'm in a hot location and I'm not that close to the sea. But I must take a shower immediately, because not only do I feel dirty, but my skin truly reacts to the chlorine. I look like shrimp. Yeah, it's not pretty sight, I can assure you that.

I wonder if most people are bath or shower people. In Norway now, it's the trend of this bath is that you don't usually don't have a bathtub at home. Because you want to have a spa shower instead, it's much more effective and it's much more... Yeah, it's trendy, anyway.

But if I were to build my own house, I would definitely have a bathtub. But I understand, I mean, the water use of using a bathtub is tremendous. And yeah, it's not that sanitary probably, but I really love them. I'm sorry for all the environmental people out there.

If I had a bathtub, I would probably use it three times a week, just to lay there and soak. Yeah, that's me.
