Buckeyes land in favorable spot in CFP | Day to meet with media today | Shoehorned signing day

Ohio State landed in what appears to be a very favorable No. 6 spot in the College Football Playoff rankings, which were released Tuesday night. The Buckeyes will likely drop a spot or two in the final rankings, but they appear to be a lock to host a first-round playoff game.Also, is this the weirdest signing day ever? College football managed to shoehorn in a signing day on Dec. 4, which is one of the strangest decisions we can remember. We'll keep saying this until we're blue in the face: the early signing period should be the final week of July, right before training camp begins.The good news is this means the media will get a chance to speak with OSU head coach Ryan Day today.
