Buddha, Wise Guy

from Brangassivo's Feed · host Mathias Schneider

Some lyrics of my own Song Buddha, WIse Guy Buddha, wise guide, shows the way, Leads you swiftly to your destination, every day. Follow him, without hesitation, without haste, Find peace where you should be, in gentle grace. Not just words are his worth, no, more than that, A chariot he has, to carry you through life's map. Sit with him, let him guide, trust his hand, And find peace with your fellow travelers, across the land. So no strife arises, no loud complaint, Buddha speaks wisely, without restraint. He speaks of being and non-being, profound and clear, Contradictions don't bother him, he lets them linger near. Again and again, he speaks, free and unbound, Spontaneous and wise, for all to be found. He speaks of the nothing that will be, in words pure and bright, And images that make us ponder, day and night. Thoughts derived from things we know, In his presence, transform and glow. He has the right to do this, and invites us in, To his table of gifts, to no longer be alone within. Richly gifted you leave him, once you've been in his sight, And feel how everything he says, resonates with light. You find your own way on life's course, And jump back on his chariot, with newfound force. Not just the second birth awaits you there, You also experience how his "emptiness" hums in the air. The nothing, of which the book speaks true, That it is not and therefore never fades from view, Has brought him fame, far and wide. Was there ever such a light in darkest tide? To our delight, he created something, small and fine, That we, when we recognize it, can only admire, divine. Yes, what seeds he sows, Evenings, nights, when the day slows, Is like an invention, new and bold. A light machine it is, and a world empire will unfold. With pure intention, without any blame, While others still look into the distance, without aim, He unravels honest babble, That no one fully understands, not even a little. His small and his big chariot, Have something about them, without a doubt. Words they are, that no one can untangle like he. It shines on us like a beacon, a bright beam, so free. The most beautiful element of all things, Should be a light that springs from itself, it sings. It should be in us and through us become something new, No matter what happens, ever true. So we are now almost at the thought of bliss, Near Nirvana, where all suffering will dismiss. We no longer strive for anything, And everything is so wonderful, it takes wing.
