Buddy 2026

EPISODE S2E07: "Buddy" (2026) Welcome back to Dad, You're Wrong, the podcast where a Gen X dad and his millennial son keep score on this year's horror slate. This week the booth is full: Eric and Josh are joined by guest hosts Joe Price and John Wendt. From Casper Kelly, the deranged mind behind Too Many Cooks, comes the year's strangest horror-comedy: a magical orange unicorn, a sunny 1990s kids' show, and a clubhouse full of children who are not allowed to have a bad day. Keegan-Michael Key voices Buddy, and the warm-and-fuzzy does not stay warm and fuzzy for long. Whether this thing is a horror movie, a comedy, or a nervous breakdown with a laugh track, where it sits next to Mr. Crocket, The Banana Splits Movie, Willy's Wonderland, and Five Nights at Freddy's, and what Kelly is really doing under all the felt and sing-alongs. Some of them loved it. See it, then come tell all four of us we're wrong.

They were young, dumb, and full of it. What followed were comedy shows so explicit, “genitalia” was practically a term of endearment.Fast forward 5 dogs, 6 cats, and way too many weird inside jokes later, Sasha and Joe are no longer young or dumb—but they’re still brimming with you-know-what.
