Marriage Works Ohio is a department of the Elizabeth New Life Center, a pro-life pregnancy center with over 36 years of history. Under Greg Schutte's leadership for the past 20 years, Marriage Works serves couples and youth through three primary avenues: Youth Education — School-based programs in high schools and middle schools covering healthy relationships, saving sex for marriage, and understanding God's design for the human person Marriage Therapy & Classes — Licensed marriage therapy and structured courses for couples at any stage — engaged, newlywed, or long-married National Programs — Resources available for purchase and use by couples and parishes nationwide Building a Eucharistic Marriage — The Video Series: Originally developed from a longer 12-session program, Building a Eucharistic Marriage distills the core into seven sessions that walk couples through a therapeutic model for change — paralleled with their relationship with Christ in and through the Mass. The central insight: just as we are called to feed one another as Christ feeds us in the Eucharist, spouses are called to be each other's helpmate and nourishment. Sessions cover: Making time — for each other and for God Understanding God's design for marriage and the Marriage Feast of the Lamb Self-examination connected to Confession and the Penitential Rite 4–7. Additional therapeutic and sacramental steps (covered in the full course) Common Marriage Pitfalls Greg Addresses: Lack of intentional, quality time together Running on autopilot amid the demands of family life Talking at rather than with each other — arguing perceptions instead of seeking understanding The video series (released in 2021) is available for individual couples to stream at home or for parishes to license for group use within their communities.
