Building a Safe Space with Tammy Bishop

Featured in this episode of the Orlando Podcast is Tammy Bishop. Tammy Bishop is an occupational therapist and owner of Our Suite Village. A co-working space for those who want to teach, learn, and meet. Tammy opened up this small business following the salon suite model. “Providers” , such as occupational therapists, teachers, and the like, are able to rent out the space to offer enriching activities for the community. In 2011, Tammy resigned from the clinic she was working at because she believed her intentions didn’t align. From then, Tammy moved on and worked as a self-employed occupational therapist who often traveled to see her clients. In searching for a solution, she came up with Our Suite Village. Tammy started her business in 2020. In this episode, Tammy talks about her experience as an entrepreneur. She talks about the fears that come with starting your own business and how to overcome them.
