Building Authentic Community Requires Presence
from The Stronger Walk Podcast Hosted by Jon Alsdorf
Being part of a Christian community requires more than showing up physically. It means making yourself consistently available to know others, encourage them, and serve them as you follow Jesus together. Hebrews 10:24-25 calls believers to stir one another up toward love and good works, and that kind of encouragement only happens in real relationship. Presence protects us from spiritual drift, because sin is deceitful and we often cannot see our own hearts drifting the way others can. True presence has four dimensions: physical, emotional, spiritual, and practical. A simple but powerful starting point is committing to one worship service, one small group, one person to know more deeply, and one responsibility to carry faithfully.
