She is the daughter of first generation immigrants and was raised in Southeast Michigan. Over the past decade, she has had the privilege of partnering with South Asian community organizations and activists and supporting their efforts to raise awareness and understanding about hate crimes against South Asians. He serves on the clinical faculty of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and is Medical Director of the Physician Assistant Studies Program at Chatham University.
