Building for the Next Generation Day 4: Faithful With What You Have Right Now Devotional You want to wait. Wait for more money, more time, more energy, more clarity. Faithfulness does not work that way. Faithfulness is what you do with what you actually have, right now, in this moment. Waiting is not humility. It is an excuse. Jesus told a story about servants handed different amounts and trusted to do something with them. The ones commended were not the ones holding the most. They were the ones who were faithful with what they had been given. The reward had nothing to do with the size of the gift. It had everything to do with the quality of the stewardship. You do not need a bigger platform, a larger budget, or a more convenient season. The ground under your feet right now is your mission field. Your neighborhood. Your workplace. Your family. Those are the people God put in your path, and everything is spiritual, so all of it counts. People who change the world start by changing the square feet around their own feet. Start there. Be faithful with what is in your hands. Trust God with what comes next. Bible Verse “His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’” — Matthew 25:21 (ESV) Reflection Question What is one area of your life right now where God is calling you to be faithful, but you have been waiting for better circumstances before you act? Quote “Your current faithfulness is only going to be measured by what you do here, what you do now with what you actually have in this moment.” Prayer Lord, forgive me for waiting when you have already given me everything I need to be faithful today. Teach me to steward well what is in my hands right now. Amen.
