Building Mental Toughness - with Army Veteran & Mental Health Advocate, Sylvester Jenkins III

from Victim 2 Victor: Healing Trauma & Building Real Love · host Anu | Author | Optimist

Sylvester Jenkins III from Tennesse, is an Army veteran, author, mental health advocate and speaker. He empowers the next generation to thrive and not just survive. Sylvester is no stranger to adversity, he grew up in a single-family, low-income household surrounded by gang violence in a drug-infested neighborhood, where a young man was only expected to do 3 things, die, go to jail, or make it out by luck. With four tours in Iraq and one tour in Afghanistan, he suffered from PTSD, anxiety and depression after 21 years of military service as First Sargeant and combat and he also went through a devastating divorce. It took working with behavioral health resources and being put in a leadership position over others in the military, for Sylvester to fully tap into his limitless resilience. With self-exploration and the right resources, he’s not only been able to harness it further, but he’s been able to help thousands do the same. He is a phenomenal author & speaker who has empowered 1000’s of people by helping them reach their goals, both personally and professionally.Sylvester has dedicated himself to sharing his life’s work to help others become the best version of themselves. Sylvester glorifies the understanding that your start doesn’t determine your finish. That no matter what you do, as long as you bet on yourself, put your best foot forward, the results will always reciprocate a positive outcome. He is the author of the book Winning the Battle Within and his upcoming book From Combat to Comeback: How to conquer the battles of Adversity.Together we are the CHANGEAuthor/Speaker/MHFA/Veteran - Website: www.sylvesterjenkins.comEmail: [email protected]://www.facebook.com/sylvesterjenk03https://instagram.com/sylvesterjenkinsiii Thanks For Listening! Follow us on: - Website: https://victim2victor.net/ - FACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/victim2victor - TWITTER: https://twitter.com/V2V_healing - INSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/victim_2_victor_podcast/- Victim 2 Victor Audio Book Audible: https://adbl.co/3akVNCu - Victim 2 Victor Book on Amazon: https://amzn.to/34MQQyu Send us Fan MailConnect with me: Take the diagnostic tool kit to stop repeating patterns in your relationships: https://victim2victor.net/the-chemistry-trap/Book a call with me: http://calendly.com/v2vhealingjourneyInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/victim2victor_anuverma/Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/anuvermav2vAccess all resources: https://linktr.ee/healing.journeyy
