Building on the Rock

Building on the Rock In Matthew 7:24-25, Jesus tells us, "Everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock." Life is full of storms—trials, disappointments, and challenges that shake us to our core. If our foundation is weak, built on the shifting sands of worldly success, approval, or temporary comfort, we will struggle to stand firm. But when our lives are anchored in Christ, we have a foundation that cannot be shaken. His truth, His promises, and His presence sustain us through every storm. Building on the Rock means living by God's Word, trusting Him in all circumstances, and surrendering our lives fully to His will. It's not just hearing His words, but putting them into action. Storms will come, but with Christ as our foundation, we will not be overcome. Today, ask yourself: Is my life built on the solid foundation of Jesus? Trust Him, and He will keep you steady through every storm.
