Building Statements Off of Definitions

from How to Write Good · host Daniel Poppie

I have been talking about how logic relates to writing. If you haven't checked out the last two episodes on this topic, I would suggest listening to those two before you listen to this one, because thinking about logic when you write involves the entire process rather than just one part (Or you can just listen to one part I guess. You do you. Don't let me tell you what to do). The first step of the logical process is defining things. It is determining what a thing actually is. By doing this, you can write about things more clearly, and to move on to the next step of the logical process, you first need to go through the first step. What is the next step? Making statements. This is probably the easiest part of the logical process. In this step, I talk about how making statements connects back to defining things.
