He was named after his uncle who passed away during training for his pro debut as a fighter. In keeping his family’s tradition and love for the sport. Ron started training at the age of seven and had his first fight on November 18th, 1993, at the age of nine and has never looked back. As a young fighter, Ron was sponsored and mentored by Emanuel Steward, founder of Kronk Boing Team who worked with over 41 World Champions.
