Building Your House

We need to take care of what we are building. Always watching what we are building. We can waste it or use it for God’s glory.  We only have a few days to do His work. When we think back on our past it might be many years but it feels like only yesterday. Our days are very short. Once the day is gone so is the opportunity to build. Church is not the foundation, it’s the equipping of the saints. The world destroys but the church helps and should equip Christians. Jesus Christ died for our sins and was resurrected. This is what we build upon. Wood, hay, and stubble These things might be good but will burn up and mean nothing in the end.  Good works don’t need to outweigh the bad.  Judgment is coming. Every deed, good or bad will be judged at death. We’ll give an account of the life we lived and if we lived it for Him or something else. Not everything we’ve done is gold, silver, and precious stones. God will hand out rewards, what will yours be? Will it be enough to hand back to Him in thanksgiving? We are to have the love of God in our hearts and love one another as Christ loves us. It takes the Holy Spirit to love each other as Christ loves us. We need to love like God loves. Love the unlovely. Christ died for those who hated Him. Every person needs to hear the gospel.  80% of the world needs Jesus, they are lost. People need to hear the gospel, what are you doing? What are you building with your life? A shack, sinful, meaningless things that will burn up? A castle, working for the Lord, witnessing to others, living our life for His namesake?
