Bulldogs' Lineup Test at Home | Mississippi State Bulldogs Football News

Mississippi State’s revamped offensive and defensive lines face their first true test this Saturday night against Louisiana-Monroe, a team rebuilding under new leadership and leaning on a powerful run game. With the Bulldogs’ defense ranking last in SEC rushing yards allowed last season—and facing two standout linebackers who combined for over 100 tackles—the line must step up to protect the QB and generate negative plays. Meanwhile, MSU’s offense needs to hold its ground against a Warhawks’ attack that’s already running the ball nearly 60% of the time. This home opener at Davis Wade Stadium on ESPNU could reveal whether all the offseason work has paid off—or if it’s just another early-season hurdle.
