Bummer Finds New Home with Royals | Kansas City Royals News

Aaron Bummer, a ten-year veteran with a career ERA under four, is getting a fresh start after bouncing from the Cubs’ minor league squad—now signed by the Royals on a minor league deal headed straight to Triple-A Omaha. After a rough stint with the Braves and never suiting up for the Cubs in the majors, Bummer’s numbers this season have been shaky, but his experience and strikeout ability make him a low-risk gamble as the trade deadline nears. The Royals hope his veteran presence can spark their system, while they aim to bounce back from a tough loss ahead of their game against the Giants.
