Bunheads

Anyone who has ever seen an Amy Sherman-Palladino project knows she's got rhythm. So it should have been inevitable that she would venture into the world of ballet. Years after quitting the sport herself for a career as a writer on 'Rosanne,' the 'Gilmore Girls' creator found herself craving a return to ballet basics, roping in a Broadway star, Sutton Foster, to help her realize the dream. And hence, in 2012, we got the gone-but-not-forgotten 'Bunheads.' During this episode, Allison and Kate discuss the history of 'Bunheads,' Sherman-Palladino's obsession with ballet accuracy, and the stunning fact that Alan Ruck and Kelly Bishop played mother and son, despite being only 12 years apart.
