Burglars Target Grieving Families | Las Vegas News

A chilling burglary ring has been exposed in Henderson, where suspects allegedly targeted grieving families after the death of their loved ones—using obituaries from a Facebook page to pick locks when homes were left vulnerable. The ringleader, Shawn Baird, is accused of orchestrating heists worth hundreds of thousands, including a massive haul of rare coins and priceless memorabilia stolen from homes just days after funerals. Security footage and facial recognition led to his arrest, alongside co-conspirator Yolanda Gonzalez, who allegedly helped offload stolen goods. With a history of theft and now facing serious charges, this case underscores how criminals exploit human pain for profit.
