Burncast #005 - Xara Dulzura

from BURNcast Podcast · host DaBomb

On today's episode of Burncast, we go to Xara Dulzura. Formerly a theme camp at Burning Man, Xara has grown to become a fantastic event of its own. It takes place in the springtime, in the pastoral landscape of southeast San Diego County on the grounds of Madre Grande Monastery. At Xara, we'll talk to Mark Hinkley, the director and creator of the event. We'll also meet Lindsay Lawlor, creator of the Rave-Raffe, an art car that emulates a walking giraffe. Finally, we'll say "Goodbye" to Chai Guy, the co-host of Burncast as he takes the summer off to hike the Pacific Crest Trail. If you're playing the 3Playa Community Drinking Game at home, this episode ranks low-to-medium (depending on your sobriety) for community celebration and inebriation.
