Burt Ward and Robin To The Rescue

HOLY 50th EPISODE, BATMAN! Robin himself joins me, Burt Ward. Burt talks about how simply asking for a chance led to the audition of his lifetime. Tons of amazing nostalgic stories await you. Even more impressive is Burt's canine rescue work which has led to Burt saving over 15,000 dogs with his wife. You only know half this hero's story. Burt Ward is an actor, crime fighter, and canine crusader. From Caped Crusader to Canine Crusader we discuss Burt's two amazing origin stories. First, Burt's current work running the largest large dog rescue in the world. Gentle Giants Rescue and Adoptions is a nonprofit run by Burt and his wife Tracey. Together they have saved over 15,500 dogs! They also developed a revolutionary dog/cat food that extends the lives of pets well beyond their expected lifetimes. Second, we dive into Burt's role as the Boy Wonder, Robin, on TV's 'Batman'. Burt shares so many amazing stories with me including landing the role of Robin, stories about all the great guest stars and villains he had the pleasure to work with, his relationship with Adam West, Sparring and starring with Bruce Lee, egg fights with Vincent Price, and many more amazing behind the scenes stories. We also discussed some post-Batman work on The Simpsons, Futurama, and Adult Swim.
