Business Lunch With Lindie - 12 September 2024

from HelderbergFM 93.6 · host زاويرا زاويرا

We are delighted to welcome Andrea Ter Avest Dahm as our guest on #BusinessLunchWithCoachLindie today.   Andrea is not only a scriptwriter and biodynamic farmer but also a mother at the Stellenbosch Waldorf School, located on the Spier Estate. She is deeply committed to the school's educational approach and its embrace of diversity.   Next year, as the Stellenbosch Waldorf School celebrates its 32nd anniversary, it is launching a campaign aimed at securing funding for 32 preschool children from lower-income farmworker families for the year 2025.   Private schooling at a working farm, combined with principles of regenerative farming, offers more than just a matriculation education. It instils respect for the earth and all living creatures, promotes awareness of nutrition, and teaches the value of growing one's own food within a multicultural environment. This institution unites children from various backgrounds and guides them through a learning journey tailored to each child's personal development, shaping them into capable, self-assured young adults who carry a profound sense of social and environmental responsibility. 📻 93.6fm | 💻 helderbergfm.co.za | 📱 WhatsApp 021 100 6936

Chesterton (1874 - 1936) LibriVox LibriVox volunteers bring you 9 recordings of The Song Against Songs by G. K. Chesterton. This was the Fortnightly Poetry project for October 16, 2011.Chesterton was a large man, standing 6 feet 4 inches (1.93 m) and weighing around 21 stone (130 kg; 290 lb). His girth gave rise to a famous anecdote. During World War I a lady in London asked why he was not 'out at the Front'; he replied, 'If you go round to the side, you will see that I am.' On another occasion he remarked to his friend George Bernard Shaw: "To look at you, anyone would think a famine had struck England". Shaw retorted, "To look at you, anyone would think you have caused it". P. G. Wodehouse once described a very loud crash as "a sound like Chesterton falling onto a sheet of tin."( Summary from Wikipedia ) Ragged Scratch Podcast Ragged Foils The Ragged Scratch Podcast is a new writing night… in podcast form!
