In just a few days, New York City, the world's business capital, will have a new mayor, Zoran Momdani. The self-described democratic socialist platform includes free buses, universal childcare, and city-run grocery stores. Prominent Democrats hesitated to support Momdany in New York City's mayoral race. Since his victory, Republicans nationwide have been raising red flags about his policies. Some of these ideas may appeal to residents of one of America's most expensive cities.
