Say HiTOPIC- “…BUT THE DISCIPLES…”BIBLE PASSAGE- MATTHEW 19:13-15Message Prepared and Presented by Rev. Mrs. Bosun Adegboyega on Sunday, 13th December, 2020 during her worship serviceINTRODUCTION- As we gradually close the curtain on the year 2020, we can say, indeed God has been good to us as individuals, family and Church. Though it was a year filled with many ups and downs and many of us have had a share of the good, the bad and the ugly either directly or indirectly; we still saw God as He showed His Supernatural Light and Glory and extended His mercy towards us. That is why we are alive today and still standing. However, having discovered that our God is good, we also come to the point where we take stock of how we have done as children of God particularly in our service to Him and our relationship with others. Our focus from the text today will be on the following:1.         The People’s Request2.         The Disciples’ Résumé 3.         The Disciples’ Reaction 4.         Jesus’ Response A.       THE PEOPLE’S REQUEST V. 131.         They brought the children to Jesus to be blessed.2.         They brought the children to be prayed for. They had heard and seen Jesus as He performed miracles and taught the people.3.         They brought the children to Jesus for Him to impact their lives.4.         They brought the children so they could also have an encounter with Jesus.5.         They brought the children to Jesus so He would leave a long lasting impression on them. 6.         They were bringing the children to a safe place.7.         Their desire was for the children to carry the mark of Jesus’ touch.Interestingly, none of the biblical records addressed these people as the parents of the children.B.       THE DISCIPLES’ RÉSUMÉ We need not assume that we know who the disciples were.
