A conversation about the intersection of faith and social justice with Rev. Richard L. Freeman Sr. & Brother Victor Muhammad. We thought it was important to highlight some “take aways” offered up by our guests: Pastor Freeman: 1. Participate in the democracy! (Because all people are flawed, we will always have to choose between the lesser of two evils. We must participate to elect the best hope to propel how agenda!) 2. Do your part in crafting and fulfilling an agenda for our people. (Pro-black is not anti-anyone! We have a unique reality that demands a unique response.) 3. Determine that which you you be committed to that is beneficial to someone other than yourself. (The strength of life is not in acquiring for ourselves but pouring ourselves out for causes bigger than ourselves.) ************** Brother Muhammad: 1. Hold our artist responsible no longer allow degrading materialistic culture in our art 2. The athletes need to do more than having camps but get with spiritual leadership to create economic growth among the Black community 3. Have a separate agenda and have it to present for those who want to do anything in/for our community
