In April 11, 1981 married the actress Valerie Bertinelli, and they have a son, Wolfang William Van Halen who was born March 16 1991. Alex Van Halen Birth name: Alex Arthur Van Halen. Birth date: May 8, 1953 Birth Place: Nijmegen, Holland. Alex, the older of the Van Halen Brothers, started his music education with piano lessons, as did his brother Eddie. After the Van Halen family moved to L.A. he started practicing guitar, but he tried his brother's drum kit, and he decided to switch to drums. You can hear Alex playing piano in the Twister Soundtrack, in a song called "Respect the Wind". Sammy Hagar Birth name: Sammy Roy Hagar Born date: October 13, 1947 Born Place: Monterey, California. Former member of the Montrose band, and a successful solo artist ("I can't drive 55"), he joined Van Halen when David Lee Roth left the band for a solo career. He owns the Cabo Wabo Cantina in Cabo San Lucas Mexico, and is known as the "Red Rocker". David Lee Roth Birth name: David Lee Roth Birth date: October 10, 1954 Birth Place: Bloomington, Indiana. David Lee Roth he moved to L.A. early in his career, joining different local bands until he met a band named "Mamooth". He joined this band that later became Van Halen, and was the lead singer for 10 years before he left for a solo career. As a solo artist, he made 5 albums and even recorded 1 album in Spanish. In a controversial move, he returned to Van Halen after 11 years to record 2 songs, which appear on the Best of Volume 1.
