However, instead of taking the sequel route, they decided to go make a prequel that would explain how Leatherface and his family became the way they are. The resulting film was released in 2006 as The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning, which was directed by Jonathan Liebesman (Darkness Falls, Battle Los Angelis) and written by Sheldon Turner (The Longest Yard '05, Up In The Air) from a story co-wrote by David J. Schow (Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3, The Crow '94)Joining the hosts Bede & Steve to discuss this prequel is first-time guest writer/author John Harrison (Sin Street Sleaze, Creatures Of the Screen - The Uncensored (And Unofficial) History of Kissploitation On Film, Television & Home Video).
