BWG: Ep. 95 - Empty Violence
from Blondes With Glasses! Hosted by Blondes With Glasses!
Your bespectacled hosts try to tackle entertainment's current fascination with empty violence. With the newest brutal murder on The Walking Dead still weighing on our minds, we parse out what's necessary and what is decidedly not. We also take documentaries and real life violence into account. Mostly, we discover that gore is something we never want and we end up pleading with Hollywood to cut it out already! We want to be entertained, not punished. And, as always, we finish with recommendations for each other. Becca recommends Black Mirror, especially the wonderful queer episode "San Junipero" and Shannon recommends the PBS documentary "Hamilton's America" even if you're not a Hamilton buff.
