BWI Daily: Penn State lands Jameial Lyons, Blue-White visitor preview

The Blue-White Game kicks off tomorrow for Penn State fans, but the game is about more than the current team. It's also the biggest recruiting weekend of the Spring, so recruiting insider Ryan Snyder joins the BWI Daily Edition to break it all down. He and host Thomas Frank Carr discuss the names to know for the Class of 2023, 2024, and 2025 who will be in attendance this weekend.But before they get to that, the duo discusses the most important news of the day, a new commitment. Four-star defensive end Jameial Lyons from Roman Catholic high school in Philadelphia chose the Nittany Lions on Friday afternoon. Snyder spoke with Lyons and shared what the 255-pound edge rusher had to say about why he chose the Nittany Lions. T-Frank gives some of his thoughts on Lyons' skills but saves most of his ideas for his evaluation, which is coming later.After learning about Lyons, T-Frank asks Snyder to assess the defensive end position for 2023. It's a loaded position group in the region this cycle, so what does Lyons' commitment mean to the rest of the class? He and T-Frank also discuss how many edge rushers Penn State could take this year.With Lyons' commitment wrapped up, they move on to the visitor list for the Blue-White Game on Saturday.
