Where are you heading in life? Do you have a plan for your future? What does it look like? What needs to work out for you to get there? Every day, we reach out and place our trust in the world around us. For example, we trust our employers to pay us and we trust that the grocery stores won't suddenly run out of food. And, because of this trust, we act in a predictable manner- we continue going to work and we don't (generally!) stock up with several years' supply of food! Most of this trust we have is totally reasonable, and it's how we manage to plan our lives. This week we're going to be looking at what a life of trusting God's promises looks like in the example of a man named Abraham. We're going to look at trust and faith closely, and try to understand their similarities and their differences.
