By the Same Measure

A powerful councilman contributes to creating a justice system rooted in harsh punishment, believing he will never become its victim. However, when Edmund Crane finds himself judged by the very laws he helped establish, his confidence unravels. As public unrest intensifies and past alliances erode, Edmund must face the reality of a society held together by cruelty, silence, and willful ignorance. “By the Same Measure” is a dystopian reflection on power, complicity, and the perilous assumption that authority grants immunity.
