Byline Mendocino: Attorney Les Marston on Indian Gaming Compacts

August 19, 2022--Alicia Bales interviews attorney Les Marston. He represents two local Pomo Tribes who just won a David and Goliath ruling in the 9th District Court of appeals against the State of California over the state’s bad faith negotiation of their Gaming Compacts. Les is the lead attorney on the case, and discusses the State and National significance of the efforts by the Hopland Band of Pomo and Robinson Rancheria, among a handful of other tribes who fought back against the State of California and won.
