BYU Hires NBA Coach Patrick Mutombo | BYU Cougars Basketball News

BYU basketball is making a bold move by bringing in Patrick Mutombo, a seasoned NBA coach with deep ties to elite players like Kawhi, Durant, and Giannis, to elevate their program. Mutombo, a two-time DII champ and 2019 Raptors championship winner, brings a decade of NBA coaching experience and a proven track record. His connection to head coach Kevin Young, forged on the Suns staff, adds a layer of trust and vision. With key players like Rob Wright set to leave and eyes on future NBA lottery picks, BYU is building a staff designed to prep players for the highest level — and Mutombo’s first college role is poised to be a game-changer.
