BYU Lands Lithuanian Guard Buika | Big 12 Basketball News

BYU just snagged a basketball gem: 19-year-old Lithuanian guard Dovydas Buika, a four-star recruit who’s already making waves. Standing 6’6”, he’s got point guard instincts despite playing wing, and he lit up the FIBA U18 EuroBasket with a near-triple-double against Serbia — 20 points, 9 assists, 8 rebounds, and 4-of-5 threes. He’s expected to be a major playmaking force for BYU, easing the load on Rob Wright and adding another elite shooter to the mix. With his pick-and-roll mastery and three-point range, Buika’s arrival could reshape BYU’s offense — and he’s already proving he’s a future star.
