BYU Lands Versatile Polish Big Man | BYU Cougars Basketball News

BYU just snagged a basketball beast: 6-foot-9 Jakub Urbaniak, set to join for 2026-27. Coach Young calls him a versatile force with elite athleticism and relentless drive. In Poland’s top league, he averaged 9.4 points and 6 rebounds while shooting over 55% — including double-doubles. His EuroCup stint saw 7.7 points and 4.7 rebounds, and earlier with CB Gran Canaria, he averaged 15+ points and nearly 8 rebounds with seven double-doubles. Plus, he’s already representing Poland internationally — debuting on the senior team and starring in FIBA qualifiers and the 2023 U20 Euros. The Cougars are getting a proven, high-energy talent with global experience. Listen in comfort: Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
