Byzantine Age

from Enough Records · host enoughrec

Latest album release by Polish project A.J. Kaufmann, 17 tracks of postpunk psychobilly rock sounds inspired from the famous self-titled Duchamp piece, Butthole Surfers, Chrome, and Black Sabbath. The album artwork is by Izabella Schoener, from an art performance Kaufmann was part of in late 2015, called "Human Exhibition". The performance was mostly about mental health in modern society, but also touched on themes like urban darkness, myths, legends, and cliches, also surrealism and noise rock. It inspired several of the songs on the LP.
