When God shows up faith gets tested. But God isn't trying to break us, he's trying to shape us. And he shapes us through faith using everyday life. Choosing is one of the most spiritual things we do. When the ten spies spread a bad report about the land among the people the problem wasn’t as much the report as it was the focus of the people.  They were focused on themselves rather than God.  The people believed the report rather than believing God and this led to an “I quit” moments when Fear says: “Wouldn’t it be better for us to go back to Egypt?” to the way things were? In those moments, faith believes: “We can move forward because The Lord is with us. We will not be afraid.” Sometimes we, like the Israelites want out of, or away from, where we are more than we want to follow God.
