Katie is a spiritual health nurse and cannabis nurse navigator. As a patient and a nurse, she has witnessed the gaps in the current “healthcare” model, so she decided to do something about it. She has set out to blaze a trail for other healers by creating a new model of care where women-owned, nurse-led, community-based healing centers focus on listening, respecting, and empowering patients to take control of their healthcare. After experiencing a spiritual awakening while on a medical mission trip in Africa, Katie discovered her empathic gift of sensing and perceiving the subtle emotional energy of the body and became certified in Healing Touch. Once she began to practice, Katie witnessed the impacts of energy medicine and personal transformations of her patients, she left her full-time job as a director of nursing to pursue her healing practice full time in 2018. Katie began incorporating cannabis medicine into her practice after experiencing the incredible impact on her own healing process. She began the medical cannabis certification program at the Pacific College of Health and Science in the Spring of 2021. Katie received her bachelor’s of science in nursing from the University of North Dakota in 2006.
