There are places that time has almost erased, yet they continue to live on in stories and in stone.High above Riomaggiore, among the woods and the springs of the Rio Maggiore, once stood a forgotten village: **Cacinagora**.An ancient farming settlement, perhaps founded by Greek refugees, that guarded a sacred image of the Madonna — later venerated in the sanctuary of Montenero.Today, only silence remains, and the lingering charm of a name that tells the most ancient origins of the Cinque Terre.
