Cade Smith’s Dominance on Display | Cleveland Guardians News

Cade Smith just joined elite company with his 300th career strikeout — in just 213 innings, that’s jaw-dropping efficiency. On Sunday, he mowed down six batters in two scoreless innings, striking out five and throwing 24 of 27 pitches for strikes. Since his MLB debut in March 2024, Smith has been a dominant force, routinely shutting down hitters with deceptive pitches that even teammates struggle to track. His 12.68 K/9 rate since 2024 ranks among the best in baseball — only one pitcher with more innings has a better strikeout rate, and he’s second among relievers in total strikeouts over that span. As the Guardians push for a postseason spot, Smith’s clutch performances in high-leverage situations make him indispensable — and his teammates? They’re used to seeing him strike out hitters… unless they somehow manage to hit him. Listen in comfort:Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
